Draft Newt

Thank you for your interest. I have emailed Newt.org in order to determine if it is legal for private citizens to petition and pledge support for another citizen who may run for President of the United States. While I am awaiting a response, the pledges are coming in. The way I see it, we have nothing to lose. If it is legally permissible for citizens to raise the $30 million for Newt without him performing the exploration, I'm sure that many others would continue to back him. He has made comments several times recently, that if there was that level of support, he would be compelled as an American citizen to run....

And if it is not legal, or it won't work for other reasons, we have engaged as citizens and will learn and grow from it. If you like, I?ll keep you posted.

Many conservatives seem to be underenthused with the front-running candidates at the same time the liberal base is energized. I believe that Newt could inspire other conservatives as he has done for myself. It seems to me that Newt has a winning plan - elevate the political dialog bar that is all too often confused with the political limbo stick. His approach is uplifting, as opposed to seeing how low we as conservatives can go. It involves real thought and debate which flies in the face of the programmed sound bytes regurgitated by the front runners.

The American public is demanding real change. In order to have positive and tangible results though, we the people must rise up from this slough of despond and fulfill our responsibility to engage in the hugely important issues facing our nation. In this climate an educated and rational approach to our very real problems will win over attack adds and smear campaigns every time.

Not only will this approach pay political dividends, but will inspire the American people to take pride in our civic privilege to engage in the process of governing. It is time to mobilize or conservative values will be steamrolled. Time is short and we stand at a crucial point in America's destiny. I am committed to do what I can to put forward the best man for conservatives. Let us together help Newt to raise the bar, and win the future.
